A three-way flange ball valve is a fluid control valve with three fluid channels that can be opened, closed, and change the direction of medium flow by rotating the ball.

Structure and Classification:

Three way flange ball valves can be divided into T-shaped and L-shaped according to their different structures. T-shaped can connect three orthogonal pipelines and cut off the third channel, playing a role in diversion and merging; L-type can only connect two pipes that are orthogonal to each other, and cannot maintain the interconnection of the third pipe at the same time. It only plays a role in distribution.

The core component of a valve is a sphere with three channel ports connected to three pipelines. A sealing surface is formed between the sphere and the valve seat to ensure that the valve can prevent medium leakage when closed.

Working principle:

The working principle of a three-way flange ball valve is mainly based on the rotation of the sphere. The valve stem is connected to the sphere, and by rotating the valve stem (which can be driven by a transmission mechanism such as a handwheel or electric actuator), the sphere can be rotated, thereby achieving the opening and closing of the valve and changing the direction of medium flow.
